OpenChair ("the app") is operated by OpenChair LLC ("we", "us"). OpenChair connects clients with hair stylists for last-minute appointments. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices.

Information we collect

• Account information — your name and email address when you create an account, and an optional phone number if you choose to provide one.
• Location — with your permission, your device's location (and any service area you set) so we can show stylists near you and let stylists be discovered locally. You can decline or change this in your device settings.
• Content you create — your profile photo, stylist portfolio images, messages and image attachments you send in chat, ratings and reviews, appointment notes, and any support requests you submit.
• Identifiers — an account identifier, and a device push token if you enable notifications, so we can deliver alerts to your device.

How we use it

We use this information solely to provide and operate the app: to authenticate you, match clients and stylists, schedule and manage appointments, enable chat and reviews, surface nearby availability, and send you relevant notifications.

How information is shared

• Between users — when you book or message, the relevant client and stylist see the profile details, messages, and appointment information needed to complete the service.
• Service providers — we use Google Maps Platform to convert locations into places/coordinates for search, and an email provider to send account verification and transactional emails. These providers process data only to provide their service to us.
• We do not sell your personal information, we do not use it for cross-app advertising or tracking, and we do not share it with data brokers or advertising networks.

Payments and subscriptions

OpenChair does not process payments for salon services. Any payment for a hair service is arranged directly between the client and stylist.

Stylists may purchase an optional OpenChair Pro subscription through Apple's App Store in-app purchase. The subscription is charged to the user's Apple ID, renews automatically unless canceled in Apple account settings, and can be restored with the Restore Purchases control in the app. Subscription purchase, renewal, and cancellation are governed by Apple's terms and the plan shown at the time of purchase.

Data retention & deletion

We retain your information for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Settings → Delete Account, which removes your profile and associated data. You may also email us at admin@openchair-llc.com to request deletion.

Children

OpenChair is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by a new version and date at the top of this page.
